Last week I received an email from The Woolmark Company, asking if would participate in their attempt to break the record for the World's Largest Social Scarf. I've always wanted to help break a world record, so of course I told them to sign me up. Now my picture is a part of the Wrapped in Merino scarf! If you want to participate and possibly win some cool prizes head over to the Wrapped in Merino website to upload your picture and pick your scarf style! While you're there search "Amanda Maguire" and see my part of the scarf!

Let's Break a World Record
Ahhh, Monday. The day that I get to sleep in and relax while everyone else is just getting back to work after a long weekend of fun. Since I had a long weekend of work, I guess it's only fair right?

What I Wore: Summer to the Max
Happy Friday! Like I've told you before, Friday doesn't mean all that much to me since I work all weekend anyway, but it does usually mean everyone I know is ready to hit the bars after work and have some fun. Last night we started the weekend a little early at The Girl's Night Out event in Red Bank. Participating stores (like Esoterica, Ltd where I work) gave women a discount for shopping during the event, plus there were bar specials and fun raffle prizes. I wore this maxi dress to the event and accessorized it in gold and turquoise. I completed the outfit with a couple spritzes of my favorite affordable perfume right now from Kirra at PacSun (only $6!!!). Afterwards, I met a bunch of my friends at a pub nearby so it ended up being a great night.

Accessory Style: Beach Party
The summer sun hasn't been shining the past few days here on the Jersey Shore, but things are supposed to brighten up over the weekend. I for one love nothing more than a beach party on a beautiful day. Though most days that I spend at the beach I only wear a bathing suit, cover up and a pair of shades, beach parties call for a different kind of attire. Even if you're only attending a casual occasion, it's still a chance to look your best. So show off your style. make sure you accessorize those cute cover-ups! If you're going to be in the sand make sure you wear flat sandals so you spend the day having fun instead of trying to walk without falling on your face. I'd keep everything else kind of casual, and make sure you have a beach tote with everything you need for the day/night. Jewelry can be a tough one, in this case. If you're actually going to be spending a ton of time in the sand and the ocean I'd skip the jewelry, it might get ruined or lost. However, if it's more of a tiki bar or beach house party go for the jewels. Keep things to a summery beach theme, like the starfish ring and turquoise earrings above. Just remember to take them off if you decide to go for a swim!

Invisible Support
Hi lovelies, I hope you're all having a beautiful day. I for one am in a great mood since I'm finally getting back into the fashion merchandising business. I was just hired at a boutique near me! I'm so excited to finally get back in a store working with merchandise and helping people shop!
Anyway, since I showed you all my favorite picks for summer tanks, I thought I'd go over some of the different bras you might need this summer while you wear them and your summer dresses. There's nothing that ruins a classy outfit faster than visible bra straps. So here's my list of must-have bras for the summer.
The Racerback.
Charmed by Maidenform.
The Deep-V Plunge.
Fashion Forms New U.
The Backless.
Le Mystere Dos Nu
The 7-way.
7-way Biofit by Victoria's Secret
The Strapless Corset.
Aerie by American Eagle
Those are my top choices for some invisible support this summer, what are yours?

Summer Tanks for Every Style
I apologize for the lack of post yesterday! I had some computer issues, but everything's back on track.
As the weather heats up here I've been going through my summer blouse collection and figuring out what's still salvageable for the coming months. Luckily for my wallet, I still love most of my tanks from last year so I won't have to do too much shopping. However, I still plan on picking up a few new pieces to add to my closet. If you're looking to switch things up this summer try some of the styles above.
My normal style is usually pretty girly and feminine with a touch of boho. To mix things up I think it's good to have at least one or two pieces that don't fit into your normal comfort zone. If you're like me, instead of going girly, try going for that really sexy top once in awhile. Or mix things up with a retro tank like the one above. I find that wearing something out of your comfort range once in awhile allows you to break outside of that range in other areas too. To me summer is about opportunities to try new things and reinventing yourself, and I intend to take full advantage of that.

Case of the Monday's
Happy Monday everyone! Due to some technical difficulties today's post is going to be delayed (I'm writing this from my iPhone) However, here's a little style inspiration from my favorite icon for the time being.
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. -Audrey Hepburn

Summer Style: Pretty PJ's
Happy June everyone! The heat has finally come to stay here on the Jersey Shore and I took full advantage of the beautiful weather at the beach yesterday. I love waking up to the sun shining, the birds chirping and a nice summer breeze coming through my window like I did today. I know that the last sentence was a complete cliche and I would be upset with myself for writing it, except it's completely true. It seems like it's going to be a perfect start to the first real summer month.
As I said in yesterday's post, I'm a firm believer in looking your best no matter what the occasion. Even when I'm hanging out around the house I like to feel pretty so I own a ton of cute lounge and sleep sets. For instance, as I write this in bed I'm wearing a sweet blue and pink boxer and tank set. I'd take a picture to share but I did just wake up and my hair is looking all sorts of crazy. Anyway, whether you like to be super comfortable or super sexy when you're going to bed there's a pretty pj out there for you!
